All units are semester units and must be earned after the issuance date of the Preliminary CTE credential, or in excess of a BA/MA degree taken subsequent to the awarding of that degree.
$1,200 above the amount shown is paid for an earned MA degree, or $1,700 for a Doctorate, with a full teaching credential.
CTE teachers are placed on Column I. Teachers with the required years of service to earn the CTE credential are placed on Step 1; for every year over that requirement YCOE grants one step, up to Step 5. Beyond nine years of experience, one step is granted for every two additional years.
